EDDIE APRILE, Founder and Director
Welcome to Hispana. I am Eddie Aprile, and I started this organization for a simple reason: I have been through these systems myself. Immigration paperwork, disability services, Social Security, taxes: I sat on the other side of those desks, filled out those forms, and made those phone calls. I know how confusing it gets, and I know how to work through it. That is what we do here.
I immigrated here from Peru, with a background in international business and family roots in Italy and Spain. Since then, I have filled out immigration paperwork multiple times, everything from work permits to citizenship, for myself, my family, and friends who needed a hand. I learned by doing it, and that is why Hispana exists: so the next person does not have to figure it out alone.
I am also a dad who has spent close to twenty years navigating Arizona's disability and Social Security systems for my own family: Division of Developmental Disabilities applications, school support meetings, and benefit reviews. I know which forms matter, which deadlines are real, and what to do when an answer comes back wrong. I put that same on-the-ground knowledge to work for other families and for people nearing retirement who want to understand Social Security before they need it.
Tax season adds one more layer of complexity, especially if you are still learning English or new to how this country's systems work. I have done my own taxes for decades and helped family and friends with theirs every year, so I know where people get stuck: which documents you need, what counts as income, and how to avoid the mistakes that cost people money. Hispana's tax filing assistance uses that same practical, firsthand approach.
Before Hispana, I founded one of Arizona's first internet service providers, then spent nearly three decades leading information technology for the City of Phoenix, running systems for thousands of municipal employees. I also taught graduate business for over a decade, leadership and management to more than 1,800 master's students, plus Spanish and English as a Second Language at the high school and community college level. That mix of direct execution and strategic leadership is what I bring here.
Today I run Hispana with my own family beside me, and as we grow, that will only become more central to how we work. This is where everything comes together: the drive to serve, the tactical expertise that comes from navigating these systems myself, and decades of leading teams and organizations through real change. If any of this sounds like what you and your family are facing, reach out to us. We are ready to help, and we are here to make the next step easier.
